What is Your Path? Wiccan, Witch

About Me Hello :) My name is Laura. I'm 19 years old and a complete fanatic about religion- all of them! Learning about other's beliefs is something I absolutely love to do, because it makes me feel closer to people, along with helping me to empathize and understand where they are coming from. I personally believe that any religion that enriches your life and causes no harm to you or to anyone else is something to be celebrated, not judged. For me personally, my path to enlightenment is never-ending. I'm not even sure if I ever want it to end, because learning and growing is half the fun of life. I've been interested in Paganism going on 6 years now, but it's taken a few relatively recent 'divine signals' to show me that this is truly the way I'm meant to go. I'm an Eclectic Wiccan, but most of my friends tend to describe me as a Greco-Kemetic Wiccan. I have always had a special affinity for the Greek gods, and their influence and presence in my life has become more and more obvious to me as of late. My matron, however, is the Egyptian goddess Bast, and I also feel a strong pull to that pantheon of gods. I revere both her lunar aspect as observed by the Greeks (she was often syncretized with Artemis) and her solar aspect as observed by the Ancient Egyptians.I am more akin to prayer, offerings, and rituals of praise at this moment rather than magickal practice, but am looking to learn more about spellcraft in the future.

Music HIM, Linkin Park, Paramore, Korn, NIN, Within Temptation, Sevendust, Radiohead, Pink Floyd, Muse, Lacuna Coil, Godsmack, Loreena McKennitt, any music with native flutes or general relaxation, ambience-type tunes.

Movies Kill Bill, Zoolander, Labyrinth, Pan's Labyrinth, artsy foreign films with subtitles like House of Flying Daggers... ;P

TV I don't watch much TV anymore, there's never anything good on. When I do it's usually Family Guy, South Park, Ellen, or something on the History Channel.

Books My favorite pagan author is probably Scott Cunningham, I love his books. Other than that I enjoy reading the works of Ralph Waldo Emerson.

Likes Psychology, Parapsychology, Anthropology, Theology, Music, Playing guitar, Poetry, Drawing/Sketching, Intellectual conversation, Movies, Good quality television, aaand... a nice cup o' chai tea. :)

Dislikes Closed-minded individuals, long lines, boredom, not getting enough sleep , being alone for long periods of time ;P

Hobbies Chatting in Pagan Planet on Stickam, making YouTube videos (search 'obscurevisions'), singing, playing guitar, drawing, reading.
